SUNDAY - Psalm 91
He will surely keep you safe from all hidden dangers,and from all deadly diseases.
He will cover you with His wings like an eagle. You will be safe under His care, His faithfulness will protect and defend you.
You will not be afraid of dangers at night, or of sudden attacks during the day; of the plagues that strike in the dark or of evils that kill in the day. A thousand my fall beside you; ten thousand all around you,but you will not be harmed. You will look and see how the wicked are punished. Because you made the Lord your Defender, no disaster will strike you. No violence will come near your home. God will put his angels in charge of you where ever you go. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the rocks.
God says, "I will protect those who love me, and save those who know me when they call to me. I will answer them when they are in trouble. I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them. I will reward them with long life and will surely save them.
MONDAY - Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
Lord, don't let me fall and keep me alert to your will, my Protector.
The Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep.
The Lord will guard me, he is on my side to protect me and to keep me safe.
The Lord will protect me from all danger, He will keep me safe.
He will protect me as I come and go, from this moment on and for evermore. Bless tthe Lord.
TUESDAY - Psalm 116
I love you Lord because You hear me, You listen to me as I speak to You all day long in my heart. You listen to me everytime I call to You.
Death drew it's ropes tight around me, the horrors of the grave closed in on me; I was filled with fear and anxiety.
Then I called to you Lord, and I said: "I beg You my Father, save me!"
You are merciful and good. You are filled with compassion for me. You protect helpless and innocent ones like me.
Be confident my heart because the Lord has been good to you!
The Lord has saved me from death, he has stopped my tears.
He has kept me from discouragement and defeat.
It is only by a thread that I continue to walk in Your presence Lord, that I continue to walk among the living.
I kept on believing even when I said, "I feel completly crushed and overwhelmed."
Even when I was afraid and said: "I cannot trust any longer." Deep inside me Lord, I have been ready to be defeated.
What can I offer you my Father for all Your goodness to me?
I will offer myself to You Father in the meeting of all the people.I will give you what I promised, my life, my love.
How painful it is to You Lord when one of your children is lost.
I am your child my Father, and I will be faithful and loyal to You amidst all my discouragement.
I will give you a sacrifice of love and offer my thanks to you.
WEDNESDAY - Psalm 94
Come Spirit of God in me, come, awake and enjoy the presence of the Lord. I will rejoice in God who brings me the fulfillment of my life.
I will awaken and understand taht You are really here present in me.
I will lift up my heart and spirit and thank you with psalms.
I acknowledge that you are a wonderful living God, eternal and greater than all the things I can imagine.
Everything created is yours and you sustain all things with your presence.
Not only the majestic mountains but each one of us who are your creations.
The sea belongs to you because you made it, and all the deserts are formed by you.I will come, awaken, and acknowledge that I must adore you and keep you before my eyes always.
I am moved by deep feelings when I realize that you made me, that you are my Father, and I belong to you; that this is your universe that provides for me and sustains me every day of my life.
Today I will listen to your voice speaking to me in my soul. I will not allow the busyiness of life crowd out your soft whispered voice speaking to me. I know that your voice can only be heard when I am quiet and when it seems you are most distant of all.
Only when I've cleared away my self-seeking and self-deceit. Then you show me your love and speak to me openly and clearly.
For many long years, my Father, you have been speaking to me, but my heart was always somewhere else, and I didn't know that you were there calling to me, loving me! But in your great love you have led me to the serenity of your divine life.
THURSDAY - Psalm 107
I will give thanks to you eternal Father because you are good, your love for me is everlasting.
Let these be the words of all God's faithful ones. He has rescued us from all our evil ways and brought us back from the wrong path. From east to west, north and south, you have called us to yourself.
I have been lost in the desert of my wayward desires and couldn't find a way to be free. I was hungry and thirsty for your goodness and had given up hope.
In the depths of my fear, I called to you and you answered me and brought me out into a place of abundant life.I thank you for your constant love, for the wonderful things you do for me. You alone satisfy me and fill me with the goodness I seek.
When I was bound in the gloom and attachment of my desires, chains which I made out of my own rebellion against you my Father, my defiance of your way of love,
I was worn out from fruitless efforts to change but couldn't help myself.
I called out to you and you saved me. You showed me the way through your Son Jesus, you broke my chains of despair.
I thank you for your constant love and mercy, for the things you have done.
FRIDAY - Psalm 84
How I long for your dwelling place within me, almighty Father. My soul longs for your presence, how it longs for you to be known within me. The beating of my heart and the breathing of my spirit are songs proclaiming your life in me, Father. Like the sparrows who build a nest and the swallows who build a dwelling for their young, You Father and Jesus make a home within me. You bring me life.
Without your presence, my life turns to nothing. How happy you make me when I know your presence in me. My soul sings with praise to you.
How happy are we who find our strength in you, we who keep on the road of life.
Even as we go through the dullness and boredom of life's moments, you turn it into spring.
And like the spring of the year which bursts into life, you pour your grace upon me and make me stronger to go on.
Eternal Father, hear my prayer to you: listen to me, you who are the infinite Father of Moses, Isaac, and Jacob. Turn to me and anoint me as your chosen one.
One day in your presence is worth more than a thousand pleasures. I would rather hear you knock on the door of my soul than to have the security of all riches.
You Father, are my protector and shield. You favor me and bless me; you refuse me nothing. Happy are those who trust in you.
SATURDAY- Psalm 92
It is good to give thanks to you Father, to worship you O Trinity of the universe, to proclaim your love in the morning and your truth in the watches of the night.
Your deeds Lord, have made me happy, the work of your hands has made me shout with joy.
O Lord, how great are your works, how deep are your designs. The foolish man can't comprehend this or understand.
Those who do not acknowledge you spring up like the grass, and all who do evil, thrive.
But they are doomed to be eternally destroyed.You Father, are eternally on high, your infinite will perishes the evil doers and the wicked are destroyed.
You give me strength and anoint me with pure oil. My eyes looked in triumph on evil and I saw how you scattered the designs of those who would do wrong.
The just will flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a Lebennon cedar.
Planted in the house of the Lord, the just will dwell in the bosom of God. They will bear fruit even when they are old. Thier goodness is full of sap, and they remain evergreen. In God my Rock is long life.
